We appreciate you taking the time to write a candid review, but I’d just like to personally set the record straight on some of the issues you’ve encountered with our system.
An awning getting caught in the wind is an unfortunate event and happens often when not securely pegged down. Our brackets have been tested to withstand high wind conditions when the awning and legs are tightly secured. We’ve seen firsthand the damage a rouge awning will do to a vehicle, even with roof racks! Again this occurrence can be avoided and the system is not at fault for environmental factors.
The brackets should not move when installed correctly. We welcome customers reaching out so we can work together to help diagnose an issue such as this, whether it was incorrect fitment, faulty hardware or another anomaly.
Our fitment guide clearly highlights the importance of ensuring your brackets are pushed inward to avoid wear on the top of the door. Again, we would have loved if you reached out when first noticing the damage.
